Created with the principle of concavity, the lower area of the dripper actually increases the water flow, resulting in a smoother extraction. The design consists of three levels:
1. Insulating level - the filter paper is tightly attached to the top of the dripper, preventing any water from seeping through.
2. Brewing level - where the brewing process takes place.
3. Powder level - the bottom area is less ribbed and more flume, facilitating water flow and reducing the risk of over extraction.
